WE MAKE SERIOUS PONTIAC HORSEPOWER
AND WE KNOW MORE ABOUT BUILDING STOCK PONTIAC ENGINES THAN ANYONE.
Dave Kommel from AutoImagery.com took this three picture sequence. You can buy these pics
separately from his site. Just type Bruce Fulper in their Search box and buy one.
The fastest and quickest Pontiac powered NHRA Super Stocker for 5 years straight.
A few have decided to try and copy my combination and are going faster now.
But they're still not making the power I have. Competition is good. I like it.
Two of the baddest 428's in Super Stock. That's former National event winner Fred Moreno's '69
Cobra Jet 428. Fred terrorized (beat me,) for three years until I finally beat him in
Phoenix in 2002 by .01. He's always a tough race. Not only did we time trial
together here when I ran 9.67, I also met Fred in the second round at the Winternationals 2004. Luck.
Just luck I won. Here's that second round ET slip. Dial-in good by .007...eek! That was reeeeal close.
The car spun bad. Now that the car is working well we're getting 1.26, 1.27 sixty foot times on a good hook.
That's why I said it was all luck. If I hadn't have spun, I would have broke out and lost. Total MOV or Margin of victory = .0332.
The MOV # is the total difference between Fred and my reaction times and the differences in our actual E.T. compared to our dial-ins.
Hey, look what I came across. It's the cover of March 16, 1996 National Dragster when Fred won S/S at Atsco Nationals in Phoenix.
